We Are Non Profit Organization
Established in 2025, Food Is Important is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located at Bethel-Hosanna AME Church in Pennsauken, NJ. Our pantry was founded on the belief that we can break the cycle of hunger, uplifts spirits, and inspire lasting change.
Empowered by Pastor Richard F. Norris II, and consistent with the spirit of Bethel-Hosanna’s service ministries, we harness the strength of many to meeting the needs of others. Making sure that no one is left behind. Our mission extends beyond nourishing bodies. We are committed to rekindling dreams, building resilience, and empowering individuals to thrive once more. Every meal we provide is a step toward a brighter and more compassionate future.
While the specific items we distribute may vary, we often provide frozen proteins, fresh produce, canned goods, non-perishable staples, and personal care items to help support the well being of your community. With the continued partnerships and support of the Food Bank of South Jersey, we strive to uphold and embody their core values. Ensuring that every action we take reflects endless commitment to dignity, respect, and service.
